This new production features some of the towns top vocal talent in the principal roles. Set in the Piazetta, Venice, the Gondoliers follows the story of two brothers, Marco and Giuseppe who decide to choose brides by means of being blindfolded.

 

After a game of Blind Man’s Buff, in which there is a certain amount of cheating Marco ‘catches’ Gianetta and Giuseppe Tessa. In true Gilbert and Sullivan style all is not what it seems as the Grand Inquisitor reveals that one of the brothers is really King of Barataria. The brothers claim the throne jointly and as Republicans need to change their ideals.

 

This colourful production is most suitable for all age groups.
